Greetings from the GIPS family!!!
A seminar on "Consumer Awareness Programme" was organised in collaboration with Radio Madhuban Community Society, sponsored by TRAI, Govt. of India. The inaugural session was graced by Mr. Ramesh from FM Radio 90.4, Ms. Seema Sharma, and Mr. Abhishek Sharma.
He elaborated that the main objective of TRAI is to ensure that the interests of consumers are protected and, at the same time, nurture conditions for growth of telecommunications, broadcasting, and cable services in a manner and at a pace that will enable India to play a leading role in emerging global information society. In pursuance of the above objective, TRAI has issued, from time to time, many regulations, orders, and directions to deal with issues and provide the required direction for the evolution of the Indian telecom sector. In addition, several applications have been introduced to safeguard consumers from cybercrime, including TRAI CMS, TRAI DND 3.0 (Do Not Disturb), TRAI MySpeed, and TRAI MyCall. Mrs. Gurpreet Mathur, Director, also provided some insightful advice on the protective measures that should be taken in the event of cyber fraud.
